The Rohr Jewish Learning Institute will present "Life in the Balance: Jewish Perspectives on Everyday Medical Dilemmas" from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays starting Oct. 29 at Congregation Ahavath Chesed, 590 Montauk Ave., New London.

Participants will answer ethical questions about a range of topics, including end-of-life issues and preventive measures. The six-course session is accredited to offer credits for medical professionals and dentists. The course fee, including the textbook, is $84; families who sign up two or more individuals will receive a 10 percent discount.
