JLI Elevates Lunch Break in Israel's Corporate Offices
The Rohr Jewish Learning Institute (JLI) has announced a commission by the family of former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzchak Shamir to develop a series of educational classes to be offered in corporate offices in Israel, during lunch hour.
To date, the “Lunch & Learn” series has been launched in 100 offices in 34 cities Israel-wide. Sessions have been designed to suit 40-minute time slots, and offer interactive discussion-based lessons. The new project bears the Hebrew title HaParshah Sheli, or My Parshah, on the weekly Torah portion and will be offered on a weekly basis.
Inspired and underwritten by the late Prime Minister's son, Mr. Yair Shamir, formerly a Member of Knesset and Minister of Agriculture, the project commemorates the centennial of Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir's birth.
"Our objective with this program is to reach yet another demographic with the joy and rewards of Torah study," said Rabbi Efraim Mintz, Executive Director of the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute.
JLI is the leading Jewish adult-educational program offering courses in 1000 communities in 350 locations worldwide. Founded in 1998, its courses run simultaneously in all locations and are accredited for continuing legal and medical education. All courses offer CEU credits.
