  • Active Learning and Skills We give teenagers a place to explore, grow, and participate through: Critical thinking, challenging activities, text analysis, public speaking, mock debates and driving questions, building their personal conviction and passion
  • Raise a Leader While modern culture promotes conformity, we encourage teens to discover their own voice by sharing their opinions and challenging the ideas presented – inspiring them to become leaders instead of followers.
  • A Key to Success Academic performance improves when students enter university with a healthy sense of self and a clarity of purpose. We provide the forum for students to think deeply about themselves and build a strong foundation of beliefs and values.

Life on the Line

Is saving someone’s life always the right thing to do? Is suicide prohibited under Jewish law? Should terminally ill patients be allowed to end their lives with dignity? What is the Torah’s position on abortions? In this course, you will examine news coverage of real life-and-death situations and be challenged to share your opinions on each case. Discover a different way of tackling life’s tough decisions as you learn what Judaism teaches us about these modern-day dilemmas.

OMG!

This course will take on the deepest theological questions humanity has been asking for thousands of years. You will stand alongside some of the greatest Jewish thinkers who have grappled with powerful existential dilemmas about G-d, morality, science, religion, and reconciling life’s challenges. Delve deeply into the Torah’s perspective on these topics and openly debate issues that revolve around faith versus rationalism and the existence of G-d.

Is It Legit?

Cruising through life you inevitably hit forks in the road, dilemmas that make you stop and think “Uh-oh, which choice do I make?” The easiest path may seem like the fast track, but it often won’t take you in the direction you want to go. So, how do you decide what’s right? What’s wrong? And more importantly, what should you do? This course is an eye-opening experience, a think-tank for teens looking to discuss and discover their own Jewish GPS for navigating life!
