Kabbalah course in Madison explores the soul

MADISON — On Wednesday, Nov. 4, Chabad of SE Morris County will begin a course in its Jewish Learning Institute. The course on Kabbalah is entitled “SoulQuest — The Journey Through Life, Death and Beyond.”

The course will meet on six consecutive Wednesdays beginning Nov. 4, from noon to 1:15 p.m. and from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Chabad Center, 42 Park Ave.

“SoulQuest” was created by the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute. The course will investigates the twin mysteries of life and death that have fascinated philosophers and laymen alike since the dawn of time.

Jewish Learning Institute courses are open to the Jewish community and people from all backgrounds and affiliations. Participants are not required to have any prior experience or background in Jewish learning to attend and enjoy this course. The course fee is $75 until Oct. 30, which includes the course workbook and all materials. All are welcome to attend the first class on Nov. 4 free of charge. Couples may attend for a fee of $125.

This course addresses the most commonly asked questions about the soul’s journey, said Rabbi Shalom Lubin, director of Chabad of SE Morris County.
