Chanukah Class: Miracles, Through the Lens of Kabbalah

Submitted by Chabad at the Shore

Have you experienced any miracles in your life? We’d love to hear about them. Your input will be invaluable as we examine the sources to shed light on the meaning of the holiday of Chanukah in our lives.

Mighty Greek armies take a heavy defeat at the hands of a small band of Jewish fighters, and then one small flask of oil keeps the Holy Temple’s Menorah lights burning for eight consecutive days.

As a superb demonstration of miraculous intervention playing its role, Chanukah reminds a Jew that reality extends far deeper than it seems.

Join us for a text-based Chanukah class and roundtable discussion. We will delve into the words of our sages to uncover the significance of this unique holiday. Lend a hand as we search for the meaning behind the miracles that have shaped our lives for generations and continue to play an important role until this very day.

The class will be taught by Rabbi Avrohom Rapoport at the Milton and Betty Katz JCC of Margate on Wednesday Dec. 16, at 7:30 p.m. There is a suggested donation of $10 per person. For more information call 822-8500.

This class is a project of the Chabad at the Shore and The Rohr Jewish Learning Institute.
