A six-part course that shows how timeless values helped Jews weather their darkest hours will be offered by the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute at a variety of Tampa Bay locations.

The course, “Portraits in Leadership: Timeless Tales for Inspired Living,” tells the saga of six leaders who paved the road to Jewish destiny. The JLI is part of the educational arm of the worldwide Chabad Lubavitch movement.

Each class session will focus on one of the six leaders: Hillel, Rabbi Yochanan Ben Zakai, Rabbi Eliezer, Rabbi Akiva, Rabbi Meir and Judah the Prince.

“With the rise of Rome came the fall of Jerusalem, but through the strength of their personalities and the wisdom of their hearts, these men and women transformed a tale of uncertain future to one of resilience and renewal,” according to the course description. “These portraits of uncompromising courage and character are sure to calm your fears, infuse you with hope, and inspire you to unleash thepower within.”
