Why am I here? - Toward A Meaningful Life New JLI Course begins in Madison 2/9

On Wednesday, February 9th, Chabad of SE Morris County will begin a new Jewish Learning Institute course entitled “Why am I here?- Toward A Meaningful Life ”. The six –week course will meet on six consecutive Wednesdays beginning February 9th from 7:30pm- 9pm at the Chabad Center located at 42 Park Ave in Madison.

The six lessons will include: “Home and Family”; “Marriage, Love, and Intimacy”; “Pain, Loss and Anxiety”; and “Work, Charity, and Wealth.”.


“So many people today search and struggle with finding meaning in life, and fulfilling their individual destiny,” said Rabbi Shalom Lubin, JLI Instructor and Director of Chabad of SE Morris County. “These six lessons will help us view life as the mysterious, challenging, and satisfying wonder it really is.”

Like all JLI programs, “Toward A Meaningful Life” is designed to appeal to people at all levels of Jewish knowledge, including those without any prior experience or background in Jewish learning. All JLI courses are open to the public, and attendees need not be affiliated with a particular synagogue, temple or other house of worship.

The course fee is $75 , which includes the course workbook and all materials. All attendees are welcome to attend the first class on February 9th free of charge. There is also a special couple’s rate of $125. Scholarships are available on a first come, first serve basis.
