Beginning on May 1 at 7:30 p.m., Chabad of Greater Hartford will offer “What Is? Rethinking Everything We Know about Our Universe,” a fascinating, new six-session course from the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute.

Drawing on the wisdom of Jewish Mysticism, the most basic building blocks of existence are reexamined from the bottom up, revolutionizing our understanding of life, reality, and our place in the world, according to a press release from Chabad.
“What Is?” explores six of the most intriguing questions that have ever challenged mankind:
Is the world real?
Is time travel possible?
Why does evil exist?
Who is G-d?
What is consciousness?
Are we bound by fate?
“I find that many people are looking to deepen their experience of life,” said Rabbi Shaya Gopin, course instructor, “This JLI course invites participants to live more deeply, by deepening their thinking, insight, and awareness of the fundamentals of life and of our universe.”
Like all JLI programs, this course is designed to appeal to people at all levels of knowledge, including those without any prior experience or background in Jewish learning. All JLI courses are open to the public.
Interested students may call 860.232.1116 or visit www.ChabadHartford.com/Course for registration and for other course-related information.
The first session is open to the public for free without any need to commit to the entire series.
The sessions take place at Chabad of Greater Hartford, 2352 Albany Ave., in West Hartford.
The fee for the series is $99.
